Cape Corinth



Located on the northwest corner of Eudoria the north continent of Calypso. Cape Corinth is a relaxed open-plan market town, styled like a holiday resort with Earth-like tropical palm trees and a fine grain sandy beach to the north.

Cape Corinth is a small community but has facilities like any of the larger cities on Calypso, with many of the terminals located on the second floor in Cape Corinth Tower.

The tower features a bar with an amazing view, landing pad and teleporter. In the center of the is a televator that can take you between the second floor and the market located below.

One of the major attractions to Cape Corinth is the market, with a number of market stalls which can be easily browsed due to its open plan, it is well worth the visit.


    

Events

Over the years Cape Corinth has become well known for the many events that have taken places over the years.

One of the most well known event is the Migration season, once a year, over a two month period, Longtooth, a much larger form of the Exarosaur that is very rarely seen on Calypso, migrates from Cape Corinth to Fort Zeus in massive herds.

Longtooth are a popular hunting target in this season.

History

Cape Corinth has also been an intricate part of the war against the robots that terrorize the citizens of planet Calypso.

Captured RX Unit "Silent Stan" was held at Cape Corinth for interrogation leading which led to the human advancement in acquiring important knowledge for the robots.

This lead to a massive attack with the robot forces at Cape Corinth, as they tried to recapture "Silent Stan", which was repelled by human forces.

Halfmoon Cove

The furthest north settlement of the Corinthians, this small beach cove is located at the end of a rocky valley road, travelling along this road east will lead to Cape Corinth. This is a popular location for new arrivals looking for their first cave exploring experience. Local Mining Operations The local mining operation is for the exploration and extraction of vital resources, leading the operation in  the area is mining foreman Sanders. This mining operation is one of the more vital operations for the growth of the settlements around the Corinthian province. Although the operation has so far run smoothly, mining has currently ceased dues to a casualties on the discovery of a Sabakuma brood nest. The Sabakuma is a crawling sandworm with large fangs. They are known to inhabit all of the known deserts on Calypso, but are also can be found where there is plenty of lose soil for them to dig down and hide. Halfmoon Bay

Situated right next to the Corinth Beach Estates, with a long sandy beach stretching from the end of the estates up to the south ridge of Halfmoon Cove. Many people walk along the beach to reach Hlafmoon Cove from here. If you following the road north from hear will reach Cape Corinth, the road south leads to the Corinth Hill Estates and the East Hangers. Although the Corinth Beach Estates are mainly a residential area, keep an eye out for shop pads on these residential estates, you might find an interesting deal.
